DESCRIPTION:We will be celebrating the Feast of Imbolc at Trout Lake Abbey on Saturday\, February 3\, 2023 at 4:30 pm. This will be an Irish pantheon rite. Bíodh sé amhlaidh! \nTrout Lake Abbey\n46 Stoller Road\nTrout Lake\, WA 98650 \nThis is the rite of the first glimmers of spring\, and the hope of warmer days ahead. In Ireland\, this is a time when the ewes begin to show signs of lactation\, and candles are no longer needed to see when milking the cows. \nWe will be honoring the goddess Brigit\, transfunctional Lady of poets and the hearth\, of workers in metal\, and of healing. Appropriate offerings for Brigit include milk and butter\, bread\, worked metal items\, and poetry. Praise offerings are always welcome! \nWe will hold this rite indoors in the Sanctuary. Dress warmly for our processional. \nThere will be a potluck following the ritual\, held in the main house. \nWe look forward to seeing you here on Saturday\, February 3!

DESCRIPTION:We will celebrate the Winter Solstice\, the Feast of the Return of the Sun\, at the White Mountain Druid Sanctuary at Trout Lake Abbey. This will be a Welsh Celebration of the God Lleu Llaw Gyffes and the God Gwydion. Bydded felly! \nSaturday\, December 16\, 2023\nGathering at 3:30 pm \n46 Stoller Road\nTrout Lake\, WA 98650\n(On Google maps search for Trout Lake Abbey) \nThe Winter Solstice is the time of the shortest day and longest night of the year. The sun is at its weakest and darkness pervades the world. But it is also the time that the sun begins its return to strength\, growing brighter and more powerful until it reaches its apex at the Summer Solstice in June. \nWe will also honor the God Lleu Llaw Gyffes\, who was wounded and then transformed into an eagle\, only to perch dying at the top of an oak tree. There his uncle\, the magical God Gwydion\, found Him and healed Him. \nAppropriate offerings for Lleu and Gwydion include pork or other food\, beer\, whiskey\, etc. As always\, praise offerings of song\, poetry\, dance\, etc. are always welcome. \nWe will hold this rite in the Sanctuary\, which is heated. \nThere will be a potluck following the ritual\, held in the main house. \nWe look forward to seeing you here on Saturday the 16th!
