During this daylong retreat we will be celebrating the enlightenment of the bodhisattva Quan Yin and practicing various movement meditations. This will include walking in the labyrinth, qigong, mindful work, etc.  Movement meditation is an excellent addition to a sitting meditation practice. New and advanced practitioners are all welcome. Come enjoy a beautiful summer day, meditating through movement in the gardens and grounds of Trout Lake Abbey. 

In order to practice proper social distancing, this retreat will be held outside in different locations around the Abbey’s grounds and gardens, with ample access to shade in case it is a hot and sunny day!  Please dress accordinly, with comfortable clothes and shoes, along with layers for unexpected weather changes.

Please bring your own water and a sack lunch, with all things you would need in order to enjoy it (i.e. forks, knives etc). We will not be providing dishes or allowing access inside our kitchen for heating food, so please plan accordingly.  

For all attendees who have registered, we will send out more information about what to expect just before the retreat.
