VESAK Buddhist Celebration
May 25 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Vesak is the most important Buddhist holiday and festival, commemorating the birth, enlightenment and death of the historical Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama. It is celebrated at the full moon in either April or May, depending on the country where it is being celebrated. During this time we hoist Buddhist flags throughout the property and participate in unique rituals to not only honor the Buddha but also renew our own understanding of the teachings and desire for harmony in the world.
Join us for this day of celebration- ceremonies will take place during the regular Saturday temple services at 9 AM with a potluck meal to follow.
