Please come and become Sangha for the MAZBT Spring Metta Retreat,  led by Venerable Thay Z, of Budding Dharma Zen Buddhist Templeand Venerable Thay Kozen, the abbott here at Mt. Adams Zen.

Metta is the Pali word for friendship or lovingkindness. It is taught as a meditation that cultivates our natural capacity for an open and loving heart.
With its roots in practices said to have been taught by the Buddha himself, Metta is traditionally offered with meditations and mindfulness practices that enrich compassion, joy and equanimity to increase happiness in self and others.  These practices and the Metta Retreat can lead to the development of concentration, fearlessness, happiness and a greater ability to love.

The suggested donation for this event is $125, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.  Lodging and vegetarian meals included with attendance.

New to metta practice? Here is a short explanatory article by Sharon Salzberg.
